Why volunteer?
Sporting clubs provide a platform for individuals to come together and support themselves and each other through various phases in life. Sometimes we are in a good place, other times are more challenging. But sport gives us the ability to work on and improve our physical, mental an emotional health. None of this is possible without volunteers.
At the core of every sporting club on earth is a group of people who donate their time to this cause. They often choose a sport or a club (or both) they are passionate about. Sometimes the work they do seems invisible to other members of the club. So here’s where we shine a light on and show our gratitude for this work, and encourage others to understand the value volunteering gives to their lives.
Benefits of volunteering
What many discover when they volunteer, is they that actually get more out of it than they put in.
Build friendships and personal connections
Feel appreciated
Be part of a team building something
Build a new network of associates, colleagues or clients
